If you are picking 2027 Walt Disney World® Resort dates now, the quietest stretches are mid to late January (after New Year's and outside Marathon Weekend and MLK weekend), early to mid-May, and late August through September (outside Labor Day weekend). The hardest weeks are the last 12 days of December, the week of March 22, 2027 – March 28, 2027, Thanksgiving week, and the Fourth of July weekend.
Resort and package bookings are open for all of 2027. Adult 1-day tickets for the year are on sale too, from $119 on the cheapest late-summer days to $229 on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve at the busiest parks. I use those prices as a crowd signal, then layer school calendars and the festivals Disney has already dated. Crowd levels below are my planning estimates in words (Lowest through Very High). They are not an official Disney forecast. I will update this page when party dates, later festivals, and park hours are announced.
For 2026 travel, the older guide is still here: 2026 Walt Disney World Crowd Calendar. A short 2027 park evening is covered in 2027 Disney After Hours.
How to read this calendar
Crowd labels are my own planning estimates (Lowest, Low, Low-Moderate, Moderate, Moderate-High, High, High-Very High, Very High). They are not from Disney and are not endorsed by Disney.
- Lowest, Low, and Low-Moderate: Easier to tour with a lighter Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
- Moderate and Moderate-High: Weekends and event days run hotter than midweek.
- High: Book dining and Lightning Lane Multi Pass early, and expect fuller resorts.
- High-Very High and Very High: Peak weeks: Christmas week, the spring-break week that overlaps Easter, and Thanksgiving week.
Disney prices 1-day tickets by date. In 2027 the floor sits in late August and September, and the ceiling sits in the last two weeks of December, with smaller peaks around Presidents' Day, spring break and Easter, and Thanksgiving. I treat higher-priced dates as a signal of higher expected crowds. It is not a guarantee of the wait you will see that morning. Peak 1-day prices are about $5 to $20 higher than the matching 2026 peaks. I do not quote 2027 resort room rates from a snapshot here. Those move, so I check disneyworld.com when I build a quote.
Park hours publish about 60 days out. Early 2027 hours show up around November 2026. A full-year hours chart does not exist in advance.

- EPCOT International Festival of the Arts (January 15 – March 1).
- EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival (March 10 – May 31).
- EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Dates are not posted yet. In a normal year this runs from late summer into November.

- EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Dates are not posted yet.
- Holiday season and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. 2027 dates are not posted yet. Expect them around June 2027.

Pro Tips to Beat the Crowds in 2027
- Visit mid-week (Tuesday through Thursday) whenever possible.
- Book Lightning Lane Multi Pass in advance on the higher-priced dates.
- Stay on-site for Early Theme Park Entry.
- For the shortest lines and the lowest 1-day prices, target late August or September after Labor Day. Adult 1-day tickets start at $119 in late August. Budget for heat, storms, and hurricane-season flexibility.
- Early to mid-May is the better-weather version of that idea, before Memorial Day and before Orange County finishes school on May 26.
- Mid to late January, skipping January 1 – 3, Marathon Weekend if you are not racing, and MLK weekend, is the other value window.
- Expect peak prices and peak waits for Presidents' week, Easter week, Thanksgiving week, and December 20 – 31. Magic Kingdom Park is $229 on December 25 and December 31. EPCOT is $229 on December 31.
- If the trip is one evening around a cruise, compare Disney After Hours to a 1-day ticket. Dates and prices are in the 2027 After Hours guide.
What is still TBA
Disney has not published these. The "expect around" notes follow when the 2026 versions were announced, so the 2027 timing can slip.
- Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2027. The 2026 dates came out April 28, 2026, so I expect 2027 dates around April 2027.
- Holiday season and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2027. The 2026 dates came out June 24, 2026, so I expect those around June 2027.
- EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Not posted. Those are usually announced in the first half of the year.
- Park hours for each day, about 60 days ahead.
- Exact opening dates for the Tropical Americas area at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and "Monstropolis" (working name) phase 1. Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is "late spring 2027" in current coverage, not a hard date.
- 2027–2028 school calendars for winter break 2027, most districts' summer end dates, and fall break 2027.
- Other 2027 runDisney weekends (Princess, Wine & Dine). This page only locks Marathon Weekend.
A late-2027 parks and cruise combo
The Disney Believe, the next Disney Cruise Line ship, has a maiden voyage on December 18, 2027, from Fort Lauderdale. That sits inside the busiest park weeks of the year, so a holiday parks-and-cruise combo needs the early-December park days (or a January park add-on), not a Christmas-week park plan, unless peak crowds are the point. Ship and itinerary context is in the 2027 Disney Cruise Line itineraries guide.
Tell me your travel window, who is going, and whether you care more about shorter lines or a specific festival. I will price the dates, the resort, and the tickets at no fee. If you want a Disney Believe sailing in the same trip, say so and I will pair the park nights with the cruise.
Ticket ranges were checked in October 2026 against the 2027 Walt Disney World Resort 1-Day ticket prices (including the October 6, 2026 increase that set the $229 peak) and a date-by-date tracker. Festival dates are from the official Walt Disney World Resort event pages. Marathon Weekend is from runDisney. The expected July 1, 2027 opening of "Lakeshore Lodge" (working name) is as reported on the Disney Parks Blog. School dates are from the district calendars named above. Crowd levels are my estimates from those facts plus a normal year. Prices, hours, and openings change. I recheck them when I quote a trip.
Names, dates and details for projects not yet open are based on information announced to date, are not yet officially confirmed, and are subject to change. This page will be updated as official details are released.
