Disney Cruise Line's 2027 calendar is finally in one place: short Bahamas sailings, 7-night Caribbean, Alaska from Vancouver, the Wish's first Europe season, a New York return, Panama Canal crossings, and Singapore on the Adventure. Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 opened to the general public on September 8, 2026. Summer 2027 has been on sale since February.
This post is the map I use when someone asks which ship, which port, and how many nights. If you already know you want 3 nights out of Port Canaveral, skip to the ship section. If you are comparing Europe vs Alaska vs a Florida departure, start with the decision list.
Disney Believe is still the exception. It is scheduled to debut in late 2027. Homeport and inaugural itineraries have not been released, so it is not in the booking charts yet.
How I'm using 2027
Most families I book do one of four things:
- A 3- or 4-night Bahamas sailing as an add-on to Walt Disney World
- A 7-night Eastern or Western Caribbean sailing as the vacation
- Alaska if they want scenery more than beach time
- Europe or a repositioning sailing if they have the nights and the budget
A short Orlando hotel stay plus a Port Canaveral cruise still pairs well with After Hours if you only want one park evening. That is the same use case I wrote about in the 2027 Disney After Hours post.
2027 fleet at a glance
Homeports and nights for 2027 are below. For dining, kids clubs, and adult spaces on each ship, see Meet the Fleet.
Disney Wish
Port Canaveral Bahamas through late April. 13-night eastbound transatlantic to Barcelona on April 25, 2027. Summer in Europe from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), and Southampton (3 to 10 nights). Mid-September westbound transatlantic into New York. Late September through early November from New York (Bermuda, Canada and New England). Then San Juan, then back to Port Canaveral.
Disney Magic
Galveston early year (Caribbean and Bahamas, including Marvel Day at Sea on select sailings). Alaska from Vancouver in summer (6-, 7-, and 8-night). San Diego Baja and Mexican Riviera in fall. 14-night Panama Canal repositioning from San Diego to Galveston in November, with a maiden call at Fuerte Amador (Panama City). Back to Galveston for winter.
Disney Wonder
San Diego Baja and Mexican Riviera most of the year. Alaska from Vancouver in summer (7-night). Pacific Coast repositionings in May and September.
Disney Dream
Fort Lauderdale early year, Port Canaveral for summer 3- and 4-night Bahamas, then Fort Lauderdale again in November. One 6-night later in the year stops at Castaway Cay twice.
Disney Fantasy
Port Canaveral most of the year (4- and 5-night Bahamas and Caribbean; a 10-night Southern Caribbean in summer). Pixar Day at Sea on select 5-night sailings. San Juan in December, then Fort Lauderdale. First Fantasy Bermuda sailing is an 8-night from Fort Lauderdale that also visits both Disney islands.
Disney Treasure
Port Canaveral all year. 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean. Fall adds an 8-night Eastern Caribbean and a 6-night Bahamian with two Castaway Cay stops.
Disney Destiny
Fort Lauderdale for most of 2027 (3- to 7-night Bahamas and Caribbean). First Port Canaveral homeport season starts in fall: 3- to 7-night Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Heroes-and-villains dining and entertainment stay with the ship.
Disney Adventure
Singapore all year. 3- and 4-night sailings. Select itineraries add Langkawi, Malaysia (new port of call), with those calls starting as early as December 31, 2026 on some sailings.
Disney Believe
Debut scheduled for late 2027. Wish-class ship. Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana, and The Little Mermaid experiences announced. No public itineraries yet.
Best pick by trip type
Short trip, kids, fly into Orlando. Disney Dream or Disney Wish (winter/spring), or Disney Destiny once it is in Port Canaveral. 3- and 4-night Bahamas. Most include Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, or both. If the adults want the best outdoor deck while the kids are in the clubs, pick Dream over Wish. Wish for adults preferring the indoor areas.
One-week Caribbean without changing homeports mid-year. Disney Treasure for the 7-night pattern from Port Canaveral. Choose Fantasy if the adult outdoor deck matters more than the themed lounges.
Texas departure. Disney Magic from Galveston. Useful if Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio is easier than Orlando. Marvel Day at Sea is on select Magic sailings from Galveston starting January 2027, including two 7-night Bahamas itineraries.
West Coast. Disney Wonder from San Diego: 3- to 7-night Baja and Mexican Riviera (Catalina, Ensenada, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan depending on length).
Alaska. Disney Magic and Disney Wonder from Vancouver. Wonder is mostly 7-night. Magic adds 6- and 8-night options. Typical ports: Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, glacier viewing. Summer only.
Europe. Disney Wish only, summer 2027. New ports called out by Disney: Zadar (Croatia), Trieste near Venice, Hellesylt (Norway). Lengths run 3 to 10 nights after the transatlantic. This is the year if you want a newer ship in the Med and Northern Europe instead of waiting for a classic ship to rotate back.
New York / Bermuda / fall color. Wish, late September through early November. 4- to 7-night sailings. Five Bermuda calls; three of those add an extra day at King's Wharf. Also Boston, Saint John, Halifax, and other Canada and New England ports.
Repositioning / once-in-a-while itinerary. Wish eastbound transatlantic: Port Canaveral to Barcelona, April 25, 2027 (13 nights; Madeira, Gibraltar, Cartagena). Wish westbound transatlantic: Southampton to New York, September 17, 2027 (12 nights; Greenock, two days in Reykjavik, St. John's). That westbound sailing sold out for non-Castaway guests on opening. Magic Panama Canal: 14-night San Diego to Galveston in November 2027 (Fuerte Amador) and the return Galveston to San Diego in spring 2028 (Colon).
Asia. Adventure from Singapore. Best if you are already in the region or building a longer Asia trip around it. Do not treat it as a substitute for a Florida Bahamas cruise.
Themed and seasonal sailings in 2027
Marvel Day at Sea. Disney Magic, select Galveston sailings beginning January 2027. Includes 7-night Bahamas dates.
Pixar Day at Sea. Disney Fantasy, select 5-night Port Canaveral sailings beginning January 2027.
Halloween on the High Seas 2027. Not every fall sailing. Look for the label.

- Wonder: October 1 to October 31
- Dream: September 6 to October 29
- Fantasy: September 15 to October 31
- Wish: October 3 to October 31
- Treasure: September 18 to October 30
- Destiny: September 10 to October 28
Very Merrytime 2027. Holiday decor, tree lighting, Santa, and the usual character overlays. Same rule as Halloween: book the sailings that have Very Merrytime in the title.
- Magic: November 22 to December 22
- Wonder: November 12 to December 19
- Dream: November 8 to December 24
- Fantasy: November 10 to December 19
- Wish: November 19 to December 24
- Treasure: November 13 to December 18
- Destiny: November 11 to December 22
When a Disney cruise is the smarter 2027 spend
A Disney cruise usually wins when:
- Kids care about characters, kids clubs, and Castaway Cay / Lookout Cay more than a specific island
- You want one price that covers stateroom, main dining, kids programming, and most entertainment
- You are already flying into Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, San Diego, or Vancouver
- You need a short sailing that does not require a full week off
- You want Halloween or Christmas onboard without building a park-hopper week
A land trip or another cruise line usually wins when:
- Adults-only is the point (I book Virgin Voyages for that)
- You want a specific European city stay with no sea days
- Budget is the driver and you are fine without Disney theming
- The only open staterooms left are connecting Deluxe Family Verandahs at peak holiday rates
Compare the sailing to a 1-day park ticket the same way I compare After Hours: if the cruise is the vacation, book the cruise first and add a park night only if the dates line up. If Disney World is the vacation, a 3-night Dream or Destiny sailing is the add-on, not the other way around.
Booking status (as of mid-September 2026)
- Early 2027 and summer 2027: already on sale
- Fall 2027 and Spring 2028: Castaway Club from August 31, 2026; general public from September 8, 2026
- Disney Believe inaugural: not released
Castaway Club still matters on the scarce sailings (Wish Europe, Wish transatlantics, Wish New York, Panama Canal, holiday weeks). Guarantees and inside staterooms go first. If you need connecting rooms or a specific verandah category, do not wait for a sale that may never show up on those dates.
